The list of top most 100 influential students in kenya is out. UoN President Ann Mvurya tops the list as Akothee’s second born daughter Rue Baby and Wabebe hit maker Gwash take pos 2 and 3 respectively.

Here are top 3 students in the list.
1. Ann Mvurya a student at University of Nairobi tops the list.
She’s the current SONU president (Student of University of Nairobi). Being the first female president of the University won’t amaze you. She has been a student leader ever since her primary school education level to date. Her resemblance to Governor Ann Waiguru made her to be popular in UoN. She’s popularly known to have been the first female president to fight for the rights of students at the UoN. She’s widely known by most of students and other celebrities for being in a relationship with Nairobi Governor Hon. Mike Mbuvi Sonko.
2. In the second position we had Rue Baby. She the daughter of Kenyan Popular Music artist Akothee. Her real name is Agrrey Dion Okello, a student at Strathmore University. She’s taking a course in relation to fashion and modeling.
She was the first runners up in Miss Universe Kenya and also won model of the year in Dear awards. She the face of Nivea 2017. The 20 years celebrity has been popularly know to have a love relationship with top Kenyan comedian MCA tricky. It’s until when MCA Tricky responded to the tricky thought about them on his social media platforms.
“Rue baby is my friend, and you’ve all seen the projects we’ve been doing with her. I have incorporated her in the clips and I believe she’s doing a good job. Yes, the relationship is work related”, MCA Tricky responded.
3. Martin Wagura professionally known as Gwash is the third influential student in Kenya 2019/2020. He’s a gengeton artist, a student in at Riara University in forth year taking Bachelors of Science in International Relations.
His his Wabebe has been doing perfectly on YouTube and other Social media platforms. The 22 years old artist has been in music industry for almost 3 years now. He came up with FloodOutGang and this is how he managed to break into the industry. Being a student, his music and tracks has influenced most of the youths countrywide.
Kepha Erick Opass
Kepha Erick Opass rose to fame in 2018 when he championed for the formation of Africa Must Succeed (AMS) Movement, A non profitable students movement that advocated for pan African agenda in the country. With a cult like following of students and students leaders across the country, the aforementioned group had gained atraction as an alternative students body championing for all inclusive leadership.
He was recognized consequently when he was awarded with the prestigious PLO Lumumba Young Pan Africanist award during the annual national leaders summit that was held in Laikipia county. He has remained a force to reckon with in Moi University Students Organization (Muso) politics.
The management of MOI university has since referred to him as the modern day Babu Owino with an incredible cognitive capacity duly to his ability to Marshall thousands of students towards a particular agenda. This huge influence that he has demonstrated on MOI university students has kept him under the watch of the management of the university.. Kepha affirms that upon being MUSO president in the upcoming elections, he intends to petition Parliament to abolish the delegates system of students elections and consequently restore the previous students elections system of one man one vote.
- Shanki Austine came to top 10. He’s a 3rd year in Maseno University pursuing Drama, Music and Theatre Studies with IT. He is a spoken word artist, a musician and one of the brains behind Wajinga Nyinyi part 4. He is a twitter influencer, meme maker, and a radio presenter at Equator FM, a popular radio station in Kisumu and Vihiga County. His online presence was felt when he started the #MasenoLivesMatter campaign whose aim was to condemn insecurity, murder, theft and rape incidences in the university.
This list comprises of 25 universities. It took about 5 months to prepare. It was was also curated from online searches, correspondents from different universities, national competitions and media
engagements. The whole process was powered by UVA in partnership with KUSO.
