Generation 700 is a movement founded in 2015 by Dennis Okanga (Mr.700), the longest serving president of The Technical University of Mombasa located in the Coastal region of Kenya.
The main agenda for it’s formation was to come up with a group like a family that could mentor youths, inspire and guide them at the university and the society at large.

By 2016, the group had gained popularity in TUM. Dennis Okanga, Melvin Mureithi, Jamaa Fulani and Ojwang Vincent were at the optimum peak to make sure the movement grows at the faster rate.
Before the end of 2017, Generation 700(Team700) had mentored youths youths at TUM with leadership skills which led it to be the talk of the university

The 700 meaning symbolizes potential for love. It shows that you always have a choice, and that you should let your heart guide you in moments of confusion. When you keep seeing 700, it means that you are following the path that the divine realm has laid out for you.

Apart from producing best students leaders like Dennis Okanga(President TUMSA, Sec Gen SLSK,CoS JUWAPWA,SecGen EASYO ), Harry Sululu (Academic Secretary and Presidential Aspirant at TUM), Zalika (D. President Garrissa University) Vero from Technical University of Kenya, Jamaa Fulani, famous goal goal master Eugene Musungu, Beast from the East( Head of operations Team700) Hailstorm Salasia (Tum parliamentarian), Gilbert Nalwa (TUMO TV presenter), Olayo(Olayography) the photographer and many more, the movement was able to come up with a charity group called Better Living Foundation Kenya for Art work, Charity work and Inspiration

The uprise of Better Living Foundation Kenya

Better Living Foundation Kenya grew so fast till it located it’s branches across the country. With the help of the Main group at Mombasa, the branch groups have been able to tour different Children’s Home’s in Kenya, provided food, clotings, showing love, having fun and academic sponsorships for Pupils and students both in High schools and Universities. Just to mention but a few; Tumaini Children’s Home, Neema Children’s Home Jomvu, Hope children’s Home Miritini and others are examples of Children’s Home that BLFKe charity Grouop has been able to visit for charity work.

The greatest achievement of BLFKe is the introduction of Arts Award in coast region. TheArt group won 100k and a shopping voucher on the Mombasa greatest awards pot culture and the Pwani Got Talent.

President Okanga being the light to all these, he never got tired at all. He even took a step ahead to come up with another movement called Student’s Leaders Society of Kenya. The movement has mentored student leaders across the country, mentored them and taught them what leadership entails.

The future of the Team and now Generation is live to eternity.
