A man was on Thursday morning arrested by police officers after he was found at Mashimoni Squatters polling station in Kibra constituency handing out money to voters in an alleged bribery scheme.
The man was rescued by the police officers after the crowd almost lynched him.
In the video that has surfaced online, the residents had begun baying for his blood before the police came to his rescue.
He was whisked away by a contingent of policemen deployed in the area and is currently being interrogated.
Security was reinforced at the polling station shortly after the man was taken away by police officers.
The polls opened at 6 AM on Thursday morning and has since been a peaceful exercise.
